Associate Editor of a Q3 journal

A new editorial leadership role for a distinguished Sri Lankan scientists, supporting the continued growth of the country’s flagship science and technology journal.
P. Ravirajan, Chair Senior Professor of the Department of Physics has been appointed as one of the Associate Editors of the Journal of the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka (JNSF). He joins an eminent pool of distinguished scientists contributing to the journal’s editorial direction and the rigorous evaluation of research in science and technology.
The appointment represents a significant recognition of Professor Ravirajan’s academic standing, research experience and commitment to strengthening scholarly communication. In his editorial role, he will help uphold the quality, relevance and integrity of the research published by JNSF.

JNSF is published by Sri Lanka’s National Science Foundation and is recognised as the first, and, for many years, the only, Sri Lankan journal indexed in Clarivate Analytics’ Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). Its progress to Q3 status reflects the journal’s growing international visibility and impact.

Professor Ravirajan’s service adds to JNSF’s mission of advancing high-quality, internationally visible research from Sri Lanka and beyond.
