Thanihaichelvan has been awarded the prestigious Most Outstanding Young Researcher Award in Natural Sciences at the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD) Excellence Awards 2024. The formal award ceremony took place on August 2, 2025, at the Senate House, University of Colombo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The CVCD Excellence Award is widely recognized as one of the highest academic and research honors in Sri Lanka. Conferred biennially, the award celebrates transformative achievements in research and innovation within the state university system. Awardees are selected through a rigorous evaluation process by an expert panel of distinguished academics, with final conferments approved by the CVCD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This recognition highlights Prof. Thanihaichelvan\u2019s exceptional scholarly contributions and research leadership.
