Ravirajan on his nomination to the Research Council of the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sri Lanka\u00a0 for three-year term with effect from June 24, 2026 \u00a0<\/span><\/p><div><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) is Sri Lanka&#8217;s premier national research institution dedicated to basic scientific research. Appointment to its Research Council is a high-level recognition reserved for distinguished scholars who have demonstrated exemplary scientific achievement, rigorous research output, and academic leadership.\u00a0<\/span><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Senior Prof. Ravirajan\u2019s inclusion in this council highlights his significant research contributions to physics and renewable energy, as well as his commitment to elevating scientific inquiry in Sri Lanka.
